Oster 3186 Juice-n-Serve 27-Ounce Automatic Citrus Juicer, White

handy, compact appliance
I was a little concerned about how this juicer would measure up to our stronger wattage one which was heavy to lift down from an upper cupboard, the pitcher was way too large, and the pitcher handle had broken off. I like the compact size of this model, and it has NO problem efficiently juicing oranges for OJ or lemons for recipes that require juice. I only have an electric juicer because my wrists are sensitive (everyone who uses a keyboard too much should avoid the repetitive movements required with an old-fashioned glass juicer). Am very satisfied with this Oster 3186.

juicer
We have an orange tree and I had buckets of oranges. This juicer made short work of it. Small, compact, easy to store. Easy to wash. Everyone should have one.

A Very Nice Home Orange Juice Squeezer
This Oster Orange Juice squeezer is easy to use, to clean and works very well to squeeze a few oranges daily for a couple of 6-8 ounce glasses of juice. Because it has a light duty motor requiring a two minute rest after four continuous minutes of use (per the instruction manual) it is not recommended for heavy duty squeezing.

GE JES1142SPSS 1.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave

This is the best microwave we have ever had.
This was the only microwave I could find that did not have negative reviews, so I took a chance on it. I am so glad I did! It is easy to use and works very well. We can push the 1 button, and instantly the microwave cooks for 1 minute...the same with 2 (two minutes) and 3 (3 minutes). That is so convenient.
The packaging used in shipping is quite well done. At first when we took it out of the box, we thought we had received a scuffed up, used blue machine, only to realize the microwave is shipped in a protective, form-fitting blue plastic.
(The only negative thing I can say about this microwave is that the stainless surface is bad to show fingerprints.) We are also impressed with their Customer Service...very nice and helpful.
Update: We have used this microwave for approximately seven months now and it still works like new.
I believe this unit can be found for less money elsewhere, but it is worth a lot to us (for health reasons) to have a large item like...

GE Microwave JES1142SPSS
This is a nice microwave. It has a smaller profile than my previous model and is quieter. I have used it for mostly reheating and cooking a few frozen meals. I'm very pleased with it so far and would recommend it to others.

A Best Buy Microwave
This is the best microwave I've had in all the years I've been using one. It has several new features, for example you can just push a number for an even minute and it's off and cooking. In most cases, I prefer GE products, and this one didn't disappoint me. The packaging was unbelievably good--so good it took a while to unpack it! But I appreciated the caution.

PuriClean II Filter (UKF8001, UKF8001AXX, WF50)

Very pleased and easy to replace.
We really waited too long to replace our fridge water filter. I actually thought it was going to be a harder process so I kept putting it off. It was done in probably 5 minutes and the water taste crystal clear again. Much better price than buying direct from appliance company. Fast delivery also.

Yay! Clean tasting water and ice!
My Whirlpool brand refrigerator uses this filter and I have been very happy with it. The water and ice are always fresh-tasting and a significant improvement over the Brita water filter I used to use. Easy to install (though that probably depends more on your refrigerator rather than the filter) and very convenient.

Super Excited
You know this filters and fits what it is supposed to fit. Super Excited and by that I mean it works like it is supposed to as fare as I can tell.

Breville BGR820XL Smart Grill

You get what you pay for -- buy the best
Before buying the Breville, I exhaustively researched the alternatives, and looked at the Breville, the Cuisinart Griddler and some of the Foreman models at stores. I actually purchased the Cuisinart Griddler but returned it, after seeing the Breville. Apologies for the length, but if you are trying to decide among all the models, the following might help you.

(1) Many cooking sites and independent reviewers complain that these type of grills are often too small and too underpowered to really cook food effectively. That is where the Breville is superb, at 1800 watts, and isn't that what a grill is for -- fast, hot, and effective cooking? But high and even heat is an integral part of the Breville design. The biggest difference between the Breville Smart Grill and the Cuisinart Griddler is that the heating elements in the Breville are embedded *inside* the Breville plate itself. The underside of the Breville plates shows the embedded element, and the electrical...

Versatile grill and griddle
I've been cooking on this grill for about 3 months and it is wonderful! The smart grill has two removable plates, one with ridges (the grill plate) and one that is smooth (a griddle plate). You can make delicious food right out of the box without buying anything else, but I plan to buy another set of plates so that we have two of each kind. The grill will open flat and both sides heat, so you can see the possibilities you would have with two plates of each kind. Functionally, the digital controls on the grill make it very easy to use. It has three basic settings: low, panini, and sear, which take you from 320 to 450 degrees. You can use the dial to set a precise temperature and a cooking time. Since both plates heat, the grill warms up quickly and is ready to cook much faster than a regular oven or outdoor grill. One reviewer mentioned problems with smashing her food. The top plate can be adjusted to not touch, just touch, or even press down on the food. To get the effect you want,...

Smart Grill is an understatement!
I have to be honest here. This was my first Breville product. I have always been a Cuisart or Kitchenaid kinda guy, but not anymore. While this product is a little pricey, it is worth its weight in gold & built to last. There are so many uses for this Smart Grill! I have made steak, paninis, pancakes, shrimp skewers, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, french toast, crepes, you name it you can do it! What I love about this grill is that there is an extremely accurate temperature gauge & a timer as well! The temperature gauge even tells you what certain temperatures can do, for example, there are low settings, panini settings & searing settings. Whats great about this grill is that there are no cool spots. Everything cooks evenly. I live on the 3rd floor of an old colonial, so if I want to BBQ its a pain for me, to go up and down the stairs 10x while my burgers are cooking, this grill is perfect for counter top cooking. The smart grill allows you to interchange the cooking plates too ( In the...

Presto 07047 Cool Touch Electric Griddle

Thin, Durable, Easy to Clean
Surprisingly light and thin but with plenty of cooking surface, this griddle is perfect for saving space in the kitchen. There's enough surface area to cook eggs, pancakes and bacon for our whole family at once, so everyone gets a hot breakfast. When we're finished cooking, we pop it into the dishwasher for easy cleaning and store it in the cupboard with our cookie sheets.

It heats up quickly and has an even temperature across the entire surface with no noticeable hot and cool spots. So far it has been sturdy and reliable. For the ~$18 we paid for it, this griddle was an excellent value. I would recommend this item.

Presto cool touch 16" griddle
Great size for two people. Heats up fast with evenly heated cooking surface. Great for home use and fits perfectly in our 5th wheel for vacation use. Able to fit 4 large pancakes on surface with no problem. Considered the "liddle griddle" at first and are glad that we decided on the larger 16 inch Presto Cool Touch griddle instead. Well made and should hold up to years of use.

Great Griddle!
My mom was given this griddle as a gift and after using hers, I just had to purchase my own. It is great for making breakfast and the fact that it can be fully submerged in water makes cleanup easy.

Eureka Premium RR Style Bag, package of 3

supposed to be eureka vacuum bags
Items came, but not as pictured nor described. Nowhere in the description does it state that the product is a GENERIC vacuum bag. I placed my order on the belief that it was a Eureka product and that it was as pictured. Would have purchased them at my local store, but they are constantly unavailable. Disappointed that the merchant chose to not advertise properly. I was given 3 "free" generic bags, but that doesn't make up for the lack of proper advertising.

Vacuum Cleaner Bags
These were replacement bags for the Eureka Boss Smart Vac. Just like the bag supplied with the vacuum they fit and performed perfectly. At half the price of bags sold locally!

It's a dirt bag
These are the OEM bags, the good ones, at about a buck a piece. Say goodbye to grocery store bags. No delay in getting them out either. When I get down to 3 or 4 I'll order again.

Bayou Classic 1201 10-Qt. Aluminum Fry Pot with Basket - No Lid

Good Quality...Good value.
Was looking for an inexpensive Fry Pot to make some Hot Wings. I needed to be able to use it with my turkey fryer, and it needed to be big enough to make larger batches for a party. this Fry Pot "fit the Bill" perfectly. It is made a high quality aluminum, and is of a commercial grade thickness. The included basket is also paired nicely with the pot and takes full advantage of the pot's size. I was able to fry up 8 lbs of wings in about 4 batches. (Don't want to crowd 'em)

Because it's aluminum, it transfers the heat well. I actually found I needed to keep lowering the heat after it reach temperature. It is also very light for it's size.

Great Value!

Very nice frying pot
We ordered this item so that we could use it with the turkey fryer stand that we have. It arrived quickly, was of very good quality and cooks like a dream. We use this for smaller amounts of deep fried chicken or fish, whenever we aren't cooking large enough quantities to use the larger turkey fryer pot. The lid for the larger turkey fryer pot fits perfectly on this pot, so not having a lid come with it wasn't an issue.

We are very happy with this purchase, and highly recommend this product if you have a need for it as we did.

PERFECT SIZE!!
I use my fryer for one thing and one thing only. WINGS!! Nothing better on a nice day with some sports than some hot wings. I figured the deep pots that come standard with fryers were a little big and a waste on oil. So I found this pot and its perfect!! It will hold a standard 3 pound bag of wings from the grocery store PERFECTLY and is so much easier to clean because its not so big and bulky like the huge turkey pots. Pot and basket even fit in the dish washer, only washed them twice so not sure on wear and tear of numerous washes but so far so good. The basket is higher quality than I expected it to be and has a tab to hook it on the side of the pot which is convenient as well. GREAT BUY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR WING LOVERS!!!

Four (4) Mini Moso Air Purifying Bags (Two Packs of Two). Naturally Absorbs Ordors in Shoes, Gym Bags, Backpacks, and Luggage.

Great for Shoe Shelves
Bought 2 sets of 4. I activated these in the sun before first use and then placed one per shelf on the shoe organizer in the closet (solid shelving w/ 4 pairs of shoes per shelf). Within 2 days, the smell of feet no longer greeted me when I entered our closet. Very happy.

Work great, and no sickly perfume smell
I bought these for my kids' soccer cleats which made their bedrooms smell completely disgusting. I don't like perfumey smells, so I thought I'd try these. Long story short, their rooms smell fine and I can only smell the odor if I put my nose right into the shoe! I also bought the big (200 g) bags, and put one in each person's shoe basket in the house. My husband's closet doesn't stink anymore, and I can't smell my shoes even after a long, hot day.

two are not strong enough for a safe
I purchased these to go in a smelly safe. I purchased another set for my ugg boots that have started to smell. Ugg boots are fine now, but even with two of them, the safe still smells. For strong odors, even in a very small space, you will need a bigger one.

Hamilton Beach Ice Shaver

Solid Ice Shaver, Well Built, Worth the Money
At first I was skeptical about purchasing this ice shaver. Unlike many others available, this one didn't have a ton of reviews. Usually, I like to let others test a product out before I buy one. What changed my mind for this product was the high review the 'Hamilton Beach Tasty Treats Ice Shaver' received. I did some research and found that this one is the updated model. A bit more research and I found that the updated model hadn't changed too much from the previous. From that, I deduced that this machine would perform at least as well as the previous model. While still skeptical, I decided to treat myself and purchase it. As soon as I received it, I opened it and tested it. I've come up with a list of pros and cons:

PROS:
> Easy to take apart
> Exceptionally easy to clean
> Drive mechanism is seperated from parts that need to be cleaned
> Pretty quick
> Stir arm mixes whatever is in the receiving container
> Simple, attractive...

I LOVE THIS HAMILTON SNO CONE MACHINE !!!!
I had a craving for sno cones so decided to buy my own machine. I couldnt decide which one to purchase off amazon the white hawiian sno cone or the Hamilton Beach. I bought both. The hawiian sno cone machine had many reviews the Hamilton sno cone machine none. The Hamilton is the best hands down. It does everything automatically . I turn to it over and over again. I leave it plugged in. I pour the ice in at the top turn the lid closed and ice automatically starts being shredded into the cup under the lid. The ice is perfect for me but not what I would call the fine fine ice, it does have chips. This machine also makes the mixed drinks. This is the only sno cone machine I need. I could have saved the money off the hawiian one because with it you have to stay there to operate it you cant walk away. The hawiian flavors are the best.

Perfectly Fine
Of course it's loud but you can walk away from it and not worry about it. The ice isn't fine but it's workable. Worth the money.

5 Miele GN Deluxe Allergen High Filtration Vacuum Bags + 2 Filters for Miele Vacuum Cleaners; Designed & Engineered by Crucial Vacuum

Work as good as the genuine Miele, but a lot cheaper!
* 09/16/2013
I was getting tired of paying the high price for the genuine Miele G/N bags, so I tried a small (5) pack of these. I've read other generic brands may tend to leave dust all over the inside of the vacuum, but NOT these. They are a little bit thinner than the Miele, but have a good seal with no dust leak inside the vacuum, cannot really tell the difference between these and the Miele, aside from the tiny bit of the thickness. Next time, will be buying these in the 25 Packs instead, a whole lot cheaper than the Miele. Miele bags are just TOO expensive, over priced IMO. I've only used 2-3 of these bags so far, so far so good, if I find any negatives, I will update the review and star ratings accordingly. As of now, I will be sticking to 5 stars.

I love the price point of these bags. They look and feel like the original Miele's
These bags are almost identical; however these are a bit bigger in size than the original Miele's but they fit in my vacuum just fine (I have the Miele Callisto Canister Vacuum). I have two dogs so I am vacuuming every other day and I go through a lot of bags! I love the price point of these bags and order in bulk so that I can always keep extras on hand. A+

do a fine job but so do the aftermarket versions
yea, expensive but honestly, they do a bang up job, it's really that simple. I usually get a box of these and a box of after market ones and swap between the two just because I have allergies and dogs and these feel so substantial. What goes into the bag stays in the bag.

Dyson DC25 Hose Bagless Upright Replacement Attachment and Suction Hose Assembly Complete, Fits Part 915677-01.

Satisfactory Replacement Hose Assembly for Dyson DC25 Animal Vacuum
The plastic spring loaded release button at the top of the hose in our DC25 vacuum recently broke after several years use. This required replacement of the entire hose assembly since the plastic fitting itself which holds the button cannot be removed and replaced.

Prices for the replacement hose varied and I selected this aftermarket part on Amazon in order to save a few dollars (the hose itself sells for three dollars more on Dyson's own website and then you have shipping costs on top of that, which I was not required to pay for the purchase on Amazon).

It fits perfectly and appears to be in all respects identical to the original hose that came with the vacuum.

This is a straightforward replacement, simple to do yourself, not much else to say.

Does NOT FIT DYSON DC25 Part 915677-01
I have a Dyson DC25 Animal and needed a replacement attachment/suction hose. According to Dyson, the part number is 915677-01. This item says this part fits, but it DOES NOT. It does not secure completely/tightly at the bottom of the hose where it clicks into the base of the machine. Now, when I pull the hose attachment out, it pulls COMPLETELY out of the machine. I had to duct-tape the entire base of this suction hose to its receptor in order for it to stay in place. Also, I've lost some attachment/hose suction as well.

Wrong item !
Received this hose attachment. It did not connect to the vacuum. I looked at the end of it and it did not match the original one that the vacuum cleaner came with. I contacted Dyson directly and they sent me a replacement part (for free)that did work. Their hose works while this one is clearly for a different model, not the DC25 Animal.

Fellowes Quiet Air Purifier with True HEPA Filter (AP-300PH)

Whisper quiet & ended my perpetual morning stuffy nose

Fellowes Quiet Air Purifier
This is my new favorite gadget in my home. I was actually concerned that this would be too quiet, but it turned out to be the perfect amount of 'white noise' to lull me to sleep. Just to put it into perspective, though, this unit is much larger than my old Honeywell air purifier yet much less noisy. I would say that the Honeywell was more vibrational noise, and annoying enough to make it difficult to hear the TV, whereas the Fellowes is barely noticeable but enough to block out distracting noises that keep me from sleeping (like my neighbors in the apartment next door).

The air quality in my room has been great since the machine has been running. Pollen has been crazy high lately, but I have not had any problems to speak of. As for cleaning/changing the filter, it is too early for me to comment on this since I haven't had it that long.

I will now try very hard to think of something negative (which, there isn't much at all). For some reason, my cat likes to jump...

Four Stage Purification System
This air purifier is excellent - I noticed a big difference in just a couple of hours. The fan has four speeds (Low, Medium, High, and Turbo). You can adjust the speed to reduce the noise. I set the fan on Low for an ultra-quiet, energy-efficient, operation during the night. Then increase the speed to Turbo to intensify the air purification during the day. However, the unit also has a sensor that monitors the air quality; the fan will auto-adjust to accommodate changes in air quality.

This unit is easy to setup and maintain. It was ready to go in 4 easy steps.
(1)Removed the front panel; (2) Removed the filter from the unit; (3) removed the packaging from the filter; (4) and reinsert it into the unit.

The unit wipes down well with a slightly damp cloth.

It requires 2 filters. It is recommended you change the HEPA filter every 12 months (or when the HEPA light Indicator is Red). It is recommended you Carbon Filter every 3 months (or when...

DMT Crystal Saver- Diamond File

Works Fine
This file does the job quickly and easily. However, it does not POLISH the newly-ground edges -- it just smooths them -- so the repaired areas of crystal will have a dull, milky finish.

Crystal Saver/grind & smooth chipped glass edges
Great item - works very well. I'm already smoothing chipped edges for friends' glassware & crystal since I finished repairing all of mine. This item will make your glassware usable so that you don't worry about cuts on fingers & lips! Highly recommend!

Cheap solution for beloved glass
I have a pint glass I bought on vacation which got chipped somehow. I bought this file and wore the sharp chipped edges of the glass down, and though there's a small dip around the glass's rim from filing, the glass is smooth and usable. Much better than having to throw it away! I recommend this item.

Dirt Devil Filter, for Extreme Power Rechargeable Handheld Vacuum

It's not F4
Do not buy if you are looking for F4 filter. It does not fit model 0880, 0881, 0886, and 0887.

Fits perfectly in my Extreme Power model 0915
I was looking for a F4 filter replacement to fit into the filter adapter (part 1-ME1960-B00) on my Dirt Devil Extreme power hand vacuum. This product is actually the filter adapter combined with the filter itself. It's a perfect match for replacing the filter in this vacuum - only the color is white instead of grey like what was in my hand vac. Works great!

Does Not Fit All Specified Hand Vacs
The filter that arrived actually says "Filter Fits Extreme Power Cordless Hand Vac" and does not say type F4 anywhere on the box. The filters themselves are about 2.75" in diameter and 3" long, but have a large flat plastic attachment. I'd guess the plastic is the part that fits into the frame of the hand vac. If your hand vac fits removable filters (i.e., you only throw out the used filter and a small plastic ring that is connected to the filter), then these probably aren't the ones you want. I have a Vibe Scorpion Cordless Hand Vac (model M0888VX) that takes a standard type F4 filter and these did not fit.

DeLonghi EC5 Steam-Driven 4-Cup Espresso and Cappuccino Maker, Black

Excellent choice for the money...
I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews of this product. Perhaps the reviewers ended up with the occasional lemons. I've purchased two of these...one I bought for myself, and the other as a gift, and they've worked beautifully. The milk steamer is very effective (but as noted, the wand is a bit short, which would be my only complaint). It would be nice to have a separate bypass switch between brewing and steaming modes, but the lack of one is common in machines in this price range. Overall I'm very happy with mine and have had no problems at all. At the current price, I'd highly recommend purchasing one. If you want more features and better construction, then spend another $100 or more for a steam pump model, but for fast and easy coffee drinks from a functional, affordable machine, this is hard to beat.

January 2010 update: It's been over four years since purchasing two of these coffee makers, and both are still going strong. The one I purchased for myself is used...

Perfect Espresso Machine for Those Who Want Value & Quality
This Espresso machine is great for people who love good espresso but can't afford fancy machines. In fact, I think I like this machine better than the fancy machine my mom has. It's super easy to use and quick- I make a latte every morning before work. And in fact you CAN froth milk with the wand- it takes a little finagling but the trick is to rotate the mug around the wand. It may take a couple of tries to get a routine down but by the third time you'll get the hang of it. And may I suggest- if you're making lattes, make only one at a time to get good foam. Enjoy!

Great Little Espresso Maker
I am far from a connoisseur of coffee, but I really like this machine. Unlike the Krupps that is similar priced (FND111 Allegro), it is make much more sturdy. I played with both in a feature to feature comparison and the DeLonghi is MUCH better made.

Best : Quality, quick espresso. Easy to clean, easy to use. Very attractive in the kitchen. Pretty darn quick. Great price for the quality.

OK : Frother is very short, so you need a short, stout cup to froth with. It is good for Cappuccino, but not really powerful enough for steaming a Latte's worth of milk. To get some extra steam, run it through an extra cycle just for steam.

Bad : Not really any for the price.

Overall, I am very, very pleased. I got it for only $39.99 here on Amazon and I think that is one heck of a good deal.

Breville BPR600XL Fast-Slow Cooker

Love this appliance!
I am not sure what happened with the other reviewer but- I love this appliance. I have used it multiple times since it's arrival-even though I am new to pressure cooking. I cook all of our meals due to living in a very remote area. And, as I was getting tired of the crockpot (using it 3 to 4 times a week), I decided to give this a whirl after a friend bought a similar product off of a shopping network and raved about it. I feel the one star review is not justified. This machine pressure cooks well and safely- I have used the pressure cooking to make pasta, roasted chicken and a beef roast as well as a steamer for steamed veggies. I plan on trying the rice pressure cooking soon. I have used it as a slow cooker for 2 dishes, with the same success I have with my regular crockpot. I look at the 6 hours a a 'high' setting and 8 as more of a low, even though there is no heat adjustment.

PROS:
Excellent results with pressure cooking
Love that I can sear or brown ground...

Great for cooking beans at high altitude
We live at 8,500 ft above sea level. Beans normally take 1.5 days or more in a crock or longer on the stove and they cook uneven here, making the beans a bit toothy/hard in spots. This Breville is amazing in that it takes 15 minutes to cook thicker beans like kidneys. If you are a beginner to pressure cookers, I'm offering a tip. Remember that the 15 minutes they specify is for "pressure cooking". That means, the pressure has to reach the amount required to start cooking. Total time (minus soaking, which I do overnight) is 45 minutes to 1 hour. At first try, I thought something was wrong with our Breville's timer/count down because I set it to our kitchen timer and count down took a while to start. For higher altitude, the times allotted in the book are right on the money. No additional cooking time is necessary. I highly recommend this product but be aware that the timer doesn't start until the correct amount of pressure is reached.

Next to a Cuisinart Food Processor, I consider this the most useful Kitchen tool on the market!
I have used Pressure Cookers over the years, but never tried an electric model such as this. I have discovered that with this cooker you can cook ANY slow cooker recipe in a fraction of the time (besides conventional Pressure Cooker recipes). Although it only draws 2kW, in the Saute mode there is so much heat delivered to the cooking insert you have to be attentive to avoid burning- like a frying pan on high heat! The safety of this unit is unmatched, and the controls and other features extremely well thought out. I'll probably buy a couple more of these to offer is presents to my grown kids.

Vornado Replacement AQS500 Air Purifier filters (2-pack)

Vornado air purifier filters
If you own this Vornado air purifier try buying bulk roll carbon pre-filters and add them to this filter. Cut them to size and put them on the intake side of the filter on the inside of the unit. You can tape them in if you want but I don't. This trick will increase the efficiency of the unit (remove more stuff) and will make these grossly over priced filters last longer. I checked the fan motor for increased heat and there was none so this is a safe and highly recommended mod.

Found SAME FILTERS for under $5 each
I was so appreciative of a review that suggested carbon sheets in front of the filters for lasting effects that I went to Ace Hardware to purchase it. It was there that I found the actual air filters for $4.49 each. They measure 10x20x1 and they are perfect, yet snug fit! I saved so much money with this find so I had to pass the savings along. Paying $20 for this 2-pack online is not my idea of a guessing game. I just KNEW one of these filters I've been seeing in the harware stores HAD to be one that would fit my Vornado Air Purifier!! They are easy to drop right in, they are the exact materials and the salesman on the floor recommended them for quality.

Flexible Crevice Tool for all Vacuum Hoses

Great Concept, not great design.
This thing is two pieces- one end is the hard plastic end which attaches to the second end which is the flexible hose. The hard end has an inlet and that inlet is so small that it impedes substantial airflow to your vacuum. Moreover, even small objects cannot pass through this opening and it will clog up the inlet in no time.

This will cause your motors to overwork and fail prematurely. When you vacuum, it's like you're trying to vacuum with a sock stuffed in the hoses. I'm using that example so show how much less air will move through it. Moreover, you'll hear your motor scream. The inlet needs to be designed so that its opening is larger to prevent overly restrictive airflow.

You are warned.

Too Small for Vacuum
The Item description says "Flexible Crevice tool for ALL vacuum hoses" - not true - it was too small to fit my vacuum. Come to find out it is a "1.25" I assume that is 1.25" diameter measurement. This item probably works fine but I will never know because it is not for "ALL" vacuums. Check your hose diameter before buying.

Broke after 2 months use.
While its not the most ergonomic device, the tool does allow you to get into areas a normal crevice tool will not. Great while it lasted. It is a 2 piece construction, consisting of a hard plastic vacuum hose connector and a flexible extension. Unfortunately, the hard plastic piece gets stressed when you bend the flexible portion. The end of the hard plastic connector that connects to the flexible extension broke off after less than 2 months of normal use.

My Son dropped my glass blender jar on the marble floor, It broke into many, many pieces! I love my oster blender and did not want to buy an entire new one. So I went straight to Amazon and searched for a new jar, walla...plastic and a perfect fit! No more broken Blender!

Oster Blender
Blender works well but the lid is not a tight fight. Easily will fall off so keep hand on it while it's working.

Good replacement
I have the Osterizer "Beehive" which came with a glass jar. I like this so much better; it is so lightweight and easy to clean.

Soleus Air MS-09 Oscillating Reflective Heater

My only complaint is that I didn't buy two,
I'm getting another one, I love this sucker so much.
Energy efficient at 400 and 800 watts vs 1500 for a convection heater.
In short, if you:
1) stay pretty much in one spot during the day
2) have high ceilings or your home is really hard to heat
3) have dust allergies
4) use a heater just during your waking hours and pile on the warm blankets at night
5) are not bothered by some light being emitted from your heater
6) have cats or dogs
7) love how it feels when the sun warms up your clothes and skin
8) are concerned about energy efficiency
9) need a heater that won't burn anyone who bumps into it
then this is the space heater for you!

Best Heater I've Ever Had
I'm a graduate student living alone in a one-bedroom apartment. Here in Reno, I pay more than $100 for the electricity during the winter season. I figured out that this is probably due to my heaters which are electric-powered. My apartment has a built-in electric heater and I have a Delonghi heater (DFH 333MT). I have no complaints about the Delonghi heater except that it consumes lots of electricity(1500 W) and I just don't like the feeling of the warm air plus it makes me feel dry.

To save money I decided to invest in this little heater and I was not disappointed. It just consumes 400 W (low setting) and 800 W (high setting).

To give you an idea of how good it is, I turned off the built-in electric heater in my apartment and the Delonghi heater and I did not feel cold at all even in the LOW SETTING.

The lights at LOW SETTING is not as bright as I thought. But in case you cannot sleep with its emitted light, I suggest that you put a blindfold. The...

Ok - but understand limitations
I bought this product to help heat a large loft. Knowing that hot air would simply blow away and be expensive, I thought I would focus on something energy efficient that could target a location. So here's a little breakdown.

The effective range of this product is limited. We keep it about 5-8 feet away to heat an one person at a time. It really has a max target area diameter of about 4-5 feet from that distance. Left on for a while in a small room, Like a bathroom...it does eventually heat up that space, but otherwise it's for very target heating.

Positives:
- Warm instantly when in target area
- Not hot to touch
- energy efficient

Negative:
- Really bright, you can't look at the thing for more than a few seconds when it's on high. We refer to it as "turning on the sun." Imagine a 50 watt bulb with a silver reflecting dish pointed at you.

- See the angle that it's pointed in in the picture? It's slightly up. It's...

Petmate 12pk Fresh Flow Fountain Replacement Filters

Fast and cool
This item is great and I'll buy more soon! Great deal! I live in Brazil and this item save me one year of searching .

Petmate filters
Apparently there are two types of filters for the Petmate Fountain. These are the less desirable type. It's difficult to tell which ones I'm getting sometimes, these weren't the ones I wanted, they are soft and flimsey without the stiffer plastic frame in the other type. While they fit they don't seem to last as long for me. I'll use them up but be more carefull in the future to get the correct ones.

Good Price
Pet mate has changed their filters over the years, but I find these filters to be okay. Work well most of the time. Once in a while my water dish leaks and soaks the floor. I have to replace the filter to stop the water overflow. Can't figure out why it happens, but it does. Amazon has the filters at a decent price so I don't have to drive to the pet shops to get them. Thank you prime!

Hoover WindTunnel 2 Upright Vacuum, UH70801

One AMAZING Vacuum!!
As a 24 year old Bachelor, this is the 3rd vacuum I have owned. The first one was a cheap, underpowered Dirt Devil Stick Vacuum. The second was a Eureka Superlite that was better, but I sensed that it was still fairly ineffectual . I came across this online and decided to give it a shot. This vacuum has 5 settings; Number 1 is for hard floors, and the next 4 are for carpet. I made the mistake of putting it on number 5, for the highest carpet setting. It did ok, but I wasn't impressed. Then I thought for a second, and switched it to number 2, the lowest carpet setting. WOW what a change! This thing immediately started sucking up years of crap that my crappy vacuums had failed to get! I had made the mistake of using that "Carpet Fresh" Baking Soda stuff that you put on your carpets to help pick up dirt and make them smell better; I had thought that my Superlite was picking it all up; not so. This vacuum sucked up so much of that crap that I had to empty the cup 3 times...

Pleasantly Surprised: A Value Sweeper That Provides Better than Expected Suction
Over the years, I have come to hate the act of vacuuming. No matter which vacuum cleaner unit I've had, I always feel like I'm just pushing the debris around as opposed to sucking it up. Seriously, I got so sick of my useless vacuum cleaner one year, I went to the store and bought the most expensive one I could find. And at the expense of hundreds of dollars, I was still completely dissatisfied. To be candid, I have always owned traditional upright cleaners and never a WindTunnel model. When introduced under various brand names, these sweepers were prohibitively expensive. But as they have become more popular, the price has dropped AND different lower price options have become available. Hoover has an extensive selection and I was happy to sample their WindTunnel 2. I can't say that I expected very much at this price point, but I've been very pleasantly surprised.

The WindTunnel 2 may not have every modern bell and whistle that you can expect on fancier and more expensive...

I love this vacuum cleaner!

Sunbeam 3911 4-Slice Wide Slot Toaster, Black

Good for the money.
This is probably the best toaster you'll find in this price range. My only complaint is that the elements on the center of the two slices don't seem to toast as well as the outside due to their position, but still a great deal.

**Update 01/13/2013**

We've been using this toaster for nearly 5 years and it's still going strong. Hard to be excited about a toaster, but anything that doesn't crap out on you after a few years is spectacular!

**Update 10/01/2013**

After an unfortunate accident involving a bottle of olive oil and the toaster, we had to retire this guy. Not because it went out, however, but because the burned oil smell never left. RIP best damned toaster ever. :(

4 slice toaster
I love it, I like the bagel button I like the color but I don't really care about it being plastic on the outside shell, but I guess over all I would buy one just like it over again. It does cook the toast and bagels excellent

good toaster
It's a sleek design and a good price. It over toasts easily, and we've burnt several things, but if you keep the setting on "1" you're fine.

Generic Hoover WindTunnel Self Propelled Belt Set (38528034 & 38528035)

good replacement
Not much to say about a rubber belt - easy to install, and it works......

Reliable, as advertised
These belts have completely revolutionized my relationship with my vacuum cleaner. The belts themselves, though stretchy, appear to have the durability of mithril drop-forged in the roots of Kharathras. Each is printed with its product number. The vacuum cleaner appeared to be a bit timid and apprehensive about the new belts, but soon it was looking more svelte and curvaceous than ever, and with such energy! Thank you, Hoover, for a new relationship with my old friend!

NOT ORIGNAL EQUIPMENT
I purchased belts from my Hoover WindTunnel self-propelled - they are NOT original equipment and only last about 30 days. Will NOT buy here again and recommend that others go very slowly.

DampRid FG60 Refillable Moisture Absorber, 2-Pack

Great product!
I've used damprid in every home for years in multiple rooms. It does what it says. Sometimes I forget to put it in a room - the room may smell musty and like mildew. Within 2 days of using damprid - the smell will go away. The closet hanging ones are nice - but I prefer the refillable tubs to lesson the overall cost. Remember, you have to be intelligent, I've read so many reviews where people seem to expect that they will SEE activity immediately or where air is flowing freely, that it will suck the humidity from air is it passes through the room. It takes a few days and depending on the weather, it may take up to 10 days to see water collecting. Obviously, if humidity doesn't "collect" in a space, it won't be absorbing anything.

Also, check it every week - especially using it for the first time - you can't expect to leave it unattended. The sediment that may form on the bottom is easily removable with hot running water (I even use the "DampRid FG91 Any Room E-Z...

"Where's that water coming from?!"
The disturbing mystery of water acccumulation in cabinet under our kitchen sinks. Evaporation from stored liquid in bottles? Leak in sink/counter edging? Dishwasher line problem? Disposal?

What a dilemma, especially with my allergies getting triggered by the musty dampness. I'll spare you further details, (we had everything checked by experts)...Just wanted to say DampRid sucks up any water or water evaporation, right into its cup, and I keep three cups under the kitchen sink, which is the only place I need to use the moisture absorber. I've bought so many cans of DampRid I only need to buy the large refill bag of crystals (also from Amazon at good savings.)

All it takes is a periodic check of the containers to see how much water has accumulated. Emptying and refilling will keep the process going smoothly.

Thanks, Amazon, for featuring DampRid at a reasonable price! P.S. I love having Amazon Prime! Free shipping on most of the things I...

Saeco HD8325/47 Poemia Class Manual Espresso Machine, Black

More affordable, same quality
I am a steam espresso machine user who was forced to shop around when the quality of the product diminished in recent years. Our biggest reason for replacing a machine is it quits frothing milk, despite vinegar or cleaning or steaming through the wand after finishing with the milk frothing. I learned since starting the latte/cappacino process that I perhaps didn't run enough steam through it when finished, but the steam machines have limited capacity before water and steam run out unless you refill. I rarely had time for that.

I tried a pump espresso machine a couple years ago and didn't care for the taste--the coffee was too weak and I didn't like how it steamed milk. So recently I tried a Saeco Via Venezia which was okay--the coffee tasted bitter, though I tried a different grind and it was some better. But for the money I felt it wasn't worth it, so returned it after a week of trying.

Having second thoughts about going back to the steam machine, I noticed this...

What a great little machine!
This is a great espresso machine on a budget. I previously got a De'Longhi BAR32 Retro and returned it after a week of struggling to get good espresso trying any kind of tamping and grounding techniques. The Poemia is so much better. The key is that the portafilter is pressurized and there is no need to tamp the coffee grounds precisely. There is a valve that automatically opens when the pressure is optimal for brewing. The espresso comes out with great crema. I was able to even make the so called 'long espresso' (running the machine until I get 5-6 ounces instead of 2-3) while still keeping great taste and crema.

The user manual contains an error in the description how to prepare the machine for first use or after a prolonged period of non use. It says to lock only the portafilter without the coffee grounds basket and run the machine until it is out of water. This of course will not seal the filter and the hot water will spray out of the filter. The coffee grounds basket...

crema-crema-crema
I'm a 4 shot Americano junkie and was spending a ridiculous amount a day at my local coffee shop. I decided I wanted my own machine but I was leery of spending $$$$ on my own machine seeing I have a tendency to buy coffee makers and then retire them because they don't produce to my liking. I found this machine on Amazon (at less than $ 100 and it came with a lot of positive reviews) and crossed checked it with other coffee maker websites which listed it as a good little machine. I am in coffee heaven every day and the pressurized filter ensures a lot of crema which is really what makes or breaks an espresso shot.

West Bend 54159 Classic Stainless-Steel 12-Cup Percolator

Love this!
I've had a lot of different brands and types of coffee makers, but this is a real gem! I love smelling the coffee waft throughout the house as it's perking, and it's easy to use and clean. It takes a little effort to get the right amount of coffee for brewing, but then again, my husband really likes his coffee strong. I love that the percolator brews incredibly HOT coffee! And the added bonus is that it's easy to take along when we go traveling. No filters needed, cleans up in a snap, and nothing to break!

My Morning Miracle Maker
Best coffee maker I have ever owned. I consider myself a coffee lover!!!! I have photograph of my this coffeepot on my Facebook with the caption "Morning Miracle Maker". The aroma fills the house and the coffee stays fresher longer. You can use less coffee than you would in other coffee makers and still get fabulous taste.

Retro style percolator
Great product! Has a floating measure on the outside so can make a smaller amount easy. Makes a good cup of coffee.

Vicks V4500 FilterFree Humidifier

No Filters!
OK, I have had this humidifier for about two months now. Make sure you are aware of the requirements of a filter-free humidifier before you buy one. First of all, I couldn't stand having a filtered humidifier. Constantly having to buy filters, they'd be out of stock at Target, unavailable for my brand at the supermarket, just too annoying, and honestly, they're several bucks every time. Why can't I just clean my own humidifier?

So here's the thing. If you opt to go filter free, read the documentation. I think a lot of the negative reviewers here aren't following the instructions... you have to clean your humidifier ONCE A WEEK. Some people are reporting, 'I have had my humidifier for a month and it's starting to stink.' Well, have you cleaned it four times since you've had it?

And yes, I would say, it's a bit of stretch to call this whisper quiet. Like any device running while you're trying to sleep, you're going to hear it. And when you're lying down...

no problems with the right precautions
For me this has worked perfectly for months now, keeping the air in the room with my guitar at just the right humidity. I bought mine elsewhere but have had others and this one works just fine if you know what you are doing and take precautions. Not for every one, but for most, the red / orange is not mold but iron in your water. For most but not all, the white powder is lime in your water. This is a fact of life for many areas of the country and why people use water filters and water softeners. If you are in a problem area, use a Brita pitcher to filter the water you fill it with. I have tried it with our softened water with no problems but we recently got rid of the softener and will soon be switching to truly filtered water for the entire house. Until then I use a filtered water pitcher. All humidifiers have this problem. Even Consumers gave none more then an average rating for this problem. Baking soda, light bleach mixture, special cleaner, or just let it completely dry...

Vicks V4500 FilterFree Humidifier
I would recommended this humidifier. It is pretty quiet, and I have it running all night to humidify the air. I can put the tray in the dishwasher to clean. No filter needed. I am not sure what the negative opinions that I read other readers write are all about. It is not been my experience. Yes, you need to clean it. But you have to clean all humidifiers. This one is easier than others though. It got a great report from Consumers Report, and that has been my experience as well.

Ozeri Ultra 42 inch Wind Fan - Adjustable Oscillating Tower Fan with Noise Reduction Technology

Not bad at all.
By default I'm a skeptic. Especially when it comes to products I'm not familiar with. I'm not the type to just go out and buy something for the sake of buying it. I have to thoroughly research or contemplate why I'm spending my hard earned cash on the product that I'm purchasing. I didn't think I would NEED a fan let alone a nicer tower fan versus the conventional fans.

Let me just say that after decades of use of a conventional fan this tower fan is amazing. The airflow is superb and the design is excellent. I wasn't so sure about the height of the fan being at 42' but I've adjusted it to its lowest level so it's not too prominent in the living room. Sweeps the room very nicely and the timer is a perfect addition to the product. The product literally FEELS solid. I have to have a product that FEELS solid. It can't creak or anything that makes it feel like its cheaply made.

Impressed and happy with it.

Excellent fan mechanism, but everything else is sub-par
I purchased this fan above all others on Amazon given its raving reviews. What I received was in no way worthy of 5 stars; 3.5, maybe 4 at best. The fan has both pros and cons, with the cons being negative enough to warrant my review and my rating.

The pros:

* The fan/blower mechanism is extremely quiet, even on the 3rd setting (high speed); I'd guess maybe 31-32dB. If you've used Vornado products, or generic box fans on high speed, you will be thrilled by the noise difference. You can easily use this fan in a bedroom while sleeping, especially a guest bedroom.

* The fan, on high speed mode, blows air a pretty good distance (given how thin the unit is) -- a gust of air is detectable easily at the 10-12 foot mark, but past that it begins to dissipate.

* The digital readout is quite visible (no more squinting at liquid crystal displays!), and the user interface (both layout and usability) are excellent. The readout might actually be a...

Great Fan, at first
I replaced a standard tower fan bought at a common big box store. This is just a couple inches taller and really moves the air. It almost seems like my old fan didn't even work. It costs a little more, but well worth it.

Update: I gave a 5 star review when I first purchased it. After a few months, it started making a loud noise like a piece of plastic was jammed into the blades (make you jump out of your chair kind of loud). I then had to remove the back and leave it off to re-set the blades. Now 10 months later, it jams up almost everytime I use it. I'm searching for a new fan now, when I ran across this fan and my old 5 star rating.

Norge Dryer Lint Screen / Filter / Trap 33001808 Home Improvement

Amazing Price Even With Shipping!
You can't beat this value, especially when compared to the OEM replacement.

I ordered the original equipment manufactured (OEM) version of this filter for $35 from a source that told me it was on backorder and wouldn't be shipped for a few weeks. I located the aftermarket (non OEM) filter on Amazon for the ridiculously cheap price seen here and was skeptical, but since my other order was on backorder, I purchased it here. I then called to cancel the backordered item. The day I went to cancel the other order, the filter arrived. Turns out they located the OEM version from another warehouse. The following day, the Amazon aftermarket filter arrived. So now I have *two* filters.

The good news for you, dear reader, is you have me here to hold both the OEM and aftermarket filters in front of me and describe the difference. I can tell you there is none! They are exactly the same. The plastic is tinted marginally different, with the OEM version being slightly...

Just as I expected
It came a few days before I was expecting, so it was quick to get here. Fit right in my Maytag Neptune dryer, not to lose and not to tight. The screen itself appears to be made of some kind of nylon and not cloth, so it seems more durable. I will be ordering another one soon so that I can have a back up, as my three year old loves to take the lint off of it. It seems just as durable as the one that came with the dryer.

Poor replacement
The screen was a good fit for my dryer but screening material was metal. It tore away from the frame within one month. I attempted to contact the company but they never wrote back. I would not recommend.

T-fal FV4446 Ultraglide Easycord Steam Iron with Anti-Drip and Scratch Resistant Ceramic Nonstick Soleplate, Garnet Red

Whoa! A Steam Iron that really Steams!
Summary: An excellent iron that puts out a lot of steam, to take a lot of the "work" out of ironing.

EDIT (and UPDATE as of Feb 2013, additions as noted)

I'm a stay-at-home mom that irons at least 2 hours a week. Instead of our clothing running the gamut, they're at the extremes: technical fabrics (like Dri-Fit or CoolMax) or 100% cotton/linen. Hence, all the ironing. When my 10-yr Sunbeam quit putting out steam like it used to, it was time to find a new one. After reading reviews here on Amazon, I went searching for a T-fal iron. The budget is tight and was a bit hesitant to spend this kind of money at a local store (sorry, Amazon) but I'm glad I did.

This iron really, really puts out the steam. It holds a lot of water and it needs to. The angle of repose to stand up is more like 75- or 80-degrees (as opposed to my old iron's straight up 90-degree vertical) and it took some getting used to. But the triangle based that works around the...

Great, Low-Cost Solution
I really don't like reviewing items like this until I've owned them for awhile, but wow! Take it from an ex-military guy, this is a great iron for the price! My last two irons were Black & Decker and a Shark. Prior to that, I had some high-dollar irons because many folks out there told me that I needed to spend the money on an good iron. Boy, were they wrong.

All of the irons I've owned proved to me after the first use that we were going to have a struggle every morning. You could just tell that you were going to burn them up quick (brown, burn marks on the bottom), spit too much water/steam out, or simply break them.

This little T-Fal does a remarkable job for something this cheap. The cord design is simple, and keeps the thing out of my way when pressing my shirts and pants. The steam is tremendous at full bore! I have kept mine just slightly before the mid-mark and it presses great. All wrinkles come out, and it's very smooth! The bottom appears to...

One Weird Looking Iron
When I first opened the box to look at my new iron, I was a little apprehensive as it looked so different from all my previous irons--basically this iron was short and wide. However, after "test-driving" it on one shirt, I was so pleased with the results that I ironed all my shirts right then and there.

Here's what I liked about it, PROS:
1. It holds more water--which means less trips to the water dispenser to fill up on water.
2. It glides like a dream--hardly any friction which makes for very little fatigue (if any!).
3. It heats up almost immediately--wait time is literally only about 20 seconds (maybe less) before you start ironing.
4. Its not a retractable cord--I had so much trouble with my previous iron because the cord never retracts all the way!
5. No drippy situation--so far (I hope I won't have to edit this in the future).
6. It costs less than $50--can't beat that!

CONS:
1. I would rather have had this in...

AC Infinity AI-CFD120BA Dual 120 Quiet Cabinet Fan, Black

Perfect for a media cabinet
Our media cabinet is small, but jammed with equipment (TiVo, BluRay player, UPS, two iOmega ix2-200 NAS, and a gigabit switch) that generate a lot of heat. The temperature within ranged from 100-120oF (yes, that hot!). The ix2-200 internal fans, which kick in at temperatures over 59oC, were constantly running at 1000-1500 rpm, and they reported an internal temperature of 60-65oC. The only ventilation in the cabinet was two 3-inch cutouts for cables near the bottom of the back panel - not very good to remove hot air passively.

It may be coincidental, but about a month ago, our year-old TiVo had a drive failure. After replacing the TiVo drive, I decided to actively cool the cabinet with dual intake fans (near the bottom of the back panel) and one exhaust fan (top of the back panel).

The reviews for the AC Infinity fans were excellent, so I purchased a dual AC Infinity 120 mm quiet fans for the intake (this product), and a...

Terrific Product, Terrific Service, Terrific Price
Following a home theatre system redesign, space became a premium and in the case of the amplifier, I was concerned about the lack of breathing room even though I created some vent holes in the shelf above.

Ionic Silver Cube

Better than other solutions
This is pricey, but does the job for a whole year, and it does it better than some of the other humifier tank cleaning products. It can be used in any humifier tank.

Works wonders keeping my indoor fountain clean!
I purchased this filter in April 2012. I know it's meant for humidifiers, but I have a large indoor fountain and was becoming weary of changing the water weekly, so I thought it was worth the $25 to try it. After all, moving water is moving water... be it in a humidifier or pumped through a fountain. This little cube has lasted an entire year plus, and I'm back to order my second one. It's done a nice job of keeping the water in the basin clear and for the most part, free of that slimy gunky stuff, as well as cut down on the mineral build-up.

Fits any Humidifier in Void Space & Works
I ran our AIr O Swiss Air Washer for a month before submitting that I needed one of these. During that month, the air washer pulled the dust & allergens out of the air & into the water; but then without the Silver Cube, scum started to accumulate in the water dish. Then I purchased the Silver Cube and installed it over the past couple of months and only the small flocculated dirt particles are present during the monthly cleanouts- hardly any of the bacteria scum that was present without the silver. I wouldn't have actually been a believer, had I not conducted the 'experiment' myself; but I saw the difference of results over three months- I'd rather have saved the $25 myself. So there is your unbiased feedback.

Frigidaire 134844410 Selector Knob

You need to improve the knob with epoxy
I had the same problem. Although I get free knobs from my local appliance store, this was not satisfactory. Knobs should not break in less than a year of normal use. Frigidaire's design, manufacture and quality control of their knobs is obviously flawed. That replacement knobs are sold to their customers, which will break again, is simple corporate arrogance.

So, you can do what Frigidaire will not do, improve their knob - by filling the void around the knob stem with epoxy. When it cures you will have a solid trouble-free knob.

1. Gently pull a knob off a switch you do not use - e.g. the dryer signal off-on switch.

2. Buy a tube of epoxy for plastic. I prefer Loctite Plastic Epoxy, but probably any good epoxy will work.

3. Put the knob in a vise or have another means to keep it from moving and level.

4. Mix up enough epoxy to fill the interior void around the white stem, that has the black metal sleeve in it.

5. Be...

Show both sides.
I used the picture to match my dryer, Wrong thing to do these Knobs are too short and do not fit. Thought the price was great, only to find you they dont fit although they look exactly like the ones on my dryer. By not showing the inside of the knob, you think they are all alike , they need to show both the outside and inside, but then they wouldnt have gotten any money from me for something I cant use and the cost to return is more than I spent. Show both sides

work great
I was a little concerned that two of my knobs broke and fell off, and for a short while we were using pliers to turn the knobs. I got these replacements, and they work great, everything stays on securely and they're a perfect fit.

Montel Williams LWHME HealthMaster Elite Blender

VERY Powerful, and hassle free so far!
Got one of these for Christmas, but one of those gifts I chose. I did alot of research on this blender and was a little worried by some reviews I found online to be honest. But, I noticed most of the 'bad' reviews were reviews of the regular model, and not the newest "elite" one which is actually quite a bit different. The one I have does not have a screw-on lid that has to be on in order to power on the machine, it just slips on now. Also the pitcher does not need to be twistes, and it just sorta 'pops' into place and sits there (no twisting). I found it to be no noisier than my Kitcheaide blender really, which was another big complaint I heard from alot of people. My first smoothie I chose frozen strawberries (my Kitcheaid's worst nightmare!). In under 60 seconds I had the smoothest smoothie I've ever had and even the strawberry seeds were completely liquified! I have yet to make a hot soup, but that's up next. The pitcher is a nice size and seems very durable. The lid to the...

I'M HOOKED
It's been less than a month since I purchased it, and I am very pleased with my HealthMaster Elite Blender. I used a much smaller juicer before that provided lots of pulp and less than a quarter cup of actual liquid. Switching to the HealtMaster was like going from night to day. It does actually emulsify the vegetables and fruits that you put into it. The green smoothies are very tasty. I have experimented with many different recipes, even those that I made up. It is unbelievable that I can consume vegetables and fruits so easily. My energy level is up, I feel better, I am shedding pounds, and it doesn't take long to prepare the recipes. It is actually as easy as it looks on TV when Montel does his advertisement.

When people ask what am I doing, I say, Just Go Ahead and buy one. If I got hooked on it, I know you can do it!!! Thank You!

Was wary, but so far so good.
After reading so many bad reviews on this product, I was opting for the more expensive vitamix, but I just made my first smoothy and it worked flawlessly. It's pretty easy to use. I put some juice in first to give it a little bit of liquid to work with. Then loaded it up with spinach/kale and other greens 3/4 the pitcher. Then I put a banana, frozen blue berry, frozen mixed berries, frozen strawberries, small peeled and washed carrots and added some protein powder and I set to 5 min at setting 8. It all blended down to about half. Looked like a thick purple jamba juice. I added 4-5 ice cubes and set it to the ice setting and 2 minutes and it pulsed on and off by itself, it seemed to struggle and I thought it sounded like the gears were stripping, but after it was done, the ice was gone, it was all blended in smoothly and I checked the bottom of the pitcher and it wasn't messed up, nor was the gear at the base. No smoke, no burn smell yet. Worked great for a cheaper blender...

Breville BDC600XL YouBrew Drip Coffee Maker

The Apple of Small Appliances
The more I look at their products, the more I think Breville is trying to be the Apple of small appliances. They clearly research how products are actually used, and then try to improve. The YouBrew has some innovations that I really like - and then I must ask: why are they the only ones who seem to care.

Here are the features I like best:

#1: Useful LCD display. Every other coffee machine I have tried has - at best - a couple of flashing lights and a simple clock display. The Breville has an backlit LCD display that actually tells me something beyond a flashing '12:00' !!! At first, the display seems overly complicated. You quickly discover that the information is useful and logically presented. I personally would have programmed the buttons a bit more consistently and would have used the up and down buttons with more functions (like setting carafe size) Self-clean mode could also be easier to set. With that said, the Breville's user interface is still...

Talk about the Wow! Factor
I read every review on this and other combination Grinder/Brewers. This one had what I was looking for - a burr grinder (instead of the inferior blade), and decent reviews. Although the YouBrew is almost twice the price of some of the competition, I saw a recurring theme across all the reviews - You get what you pay for.

So I took the leap, and spent more on this coffee maker than I have spent on all my previous coffee makers and grinders combined, times about 4. And I'm glad I did.

Here are my thoughts after using it for a couple weeks:

Cons:
It is big. It is a beast. It weighs a ton. But it is sure a conversation starter sitting there on my counter top.
The stainless steel does show fingerprints. So I wipe it down to keep it looking nice. We'll see how long that lasts...

Previous reviews talk about how loud the grinder is - and they aren't kidding. It sounds like I did something terrible when I push the start button and this very...

Well engineered, but not without faults. 3.5 - 4 Stars
We can all agree on what's really lousy coffee (from army mess to a couple of high-end places where servers are called "baristas"), but what's really a great cup of coffee is a matter of conjecture, the qualioty of the beans, and what we're accustomed to. I'm no connoisseur: I know what I like; rich, a little strong, and with cream.

The Breville You Brew is nicely designed, takes a little thought, and makes a decent cup of coffee, but nothing comparable to that really good coffee one gets at a FINE restaurant (the Ritz-Carlton comes to mind). After playing with it and making everything from one cup to a travel mug to a full carafe, the end product is no better than what my Cuisinart and *premium* [Dillanos]coffee puts out.

I think what this boils down to - to use a very appropriate phrase - is the coffee. My wife and I think Caribou and Starbucks are bitter even though the pres. of Starbucks says that there's no bitterness in coffee, period. Still, I think it's...

Cuisinart CPT-2000 2-Slice Long Slot Motorized Toaster

What were they thinking?
I owned an older model of this toaster which finally died after many years of use. I was so excited to see that Cuisinart came out with a newer model, I ordered it for myself and a relative. After I had to spend a great deal of time removing the large Cuisinart adhesive sticker on the side of the toaster (you think we won't know it's a Cuisinart?), I plugged it in and dropped two pieces of bread into the "2 slice" toaster. Much to my surprise, my bread didn't fit. I buy a very common brand of multi grain and/or potato bread and two slices overlap in the "long" slot. If you turn the bread with the top facing sideways, it still won't work as it protrudes above the heat elements when lowered. I would have to cut off about 1/4 inch of one slice of bread to toast two slices at the same time. Are you kidding? The older model fit two slices with room to spare. For this price, the least Cuisinart could do is make a toaster that fits two slices bread that are larger than sandwich bread...

Great toaster!
This is my second Cuisinart 2-slice long slot toaster. This one looks great. Love the beep letting you know the toast is finished. I do think it could be a little longer and higher. Some large pieces of bread stick out the top and do not get toasted. It is definitely slightly smaller than the one I used for years that they no longer make.

Makes great toast
It'd be completely perfect if half inch longer but we love how little space it takes up and looks great. Can't imagine more exact or easier setting controls. With all our various sized bakery breads, I sometimes have to make my sandwiches one slice at a time but it is fast enough that it really isn't a problem to start on one side first, and I could just let the bread crusts overlap since it adjusts for width. Easy enough to dump crumbs and it doesn't show finger prints. Just a fabulous toaster.

Fagor 670040230 Stainless-Steel 3-in-1 6-Quart Multi-Cooker

Fantastic Cooker!!
I purchased this to replace five slow cookers (Yes, I really had five), a rice cooker, and a Nesco roaster. When it arrived, I ran a water test which worked perfectly. The cooker heats quickly and then cooks on pressure and beeps when done. If not turned off, it goes to a warm cycle to hold the dish until you are ready. The next dish I tried was rice on the rice cycle. It is set for white rice and I was cooking brown rice so I just repeated the cycle twice after the first cycle. The rice turned out perfectly in 18 minutes. The removable pan is easy to clean since it is Teflon. I then put in the ingredients for black beans and set the timer for 27 minutes on the high pressure cycle. I punched start and walked away. The beans were done, tender and delicious! It used to take me 12 hours to cook beans in the crock pot! There is a brown cycle which heats up fast and can be used for sauteing items. I made a Mexican chicken soup and sauteed the onions and celery, threw in cubed...

great piece of equipment for any kitchen
I've been using my Fagor 3-in-1 multi-cooker for a few months now and have really enjoyed it. I've tried all 3 functions. For the rice cooker function, I like it but the rice comes out a little stickier than we're used to. I've tried cutting back on the amount of water and that seems to help. But I typically just use my old rice cooker because the multi-cooker is already in use making the main dish. For the slow cooker function, it seems to cook at a slightly lower temperature than even the low setting on regular slow cookers. The food gets done, but meats aren't as "falling apart" as they are in my old slow cooker. But maybe that's a good thing since they're not overcooked. Depending on what I'm making, sometimes I use the multi-cooker and sometimes I use my old one. The multi-cooker is 6 qts, but is taller and has a smaller diameter than most slow cookers. So it wouldn't work well for a big flat piece of meat like a brisket. Also, the multi-cooker is teflon coated, so if I'm making...

Excellent Cooker
I love the fact this unit is multi-function. I've wanted both a rice cooker and electronic pressure cooker. I am thrilled with the prospect of a combination unit to save storage space. This cooker is sleek looking, quiet when in use, and a breeze to clean with its internal nonstick surface. To be honest, I own a new-generation pressure cooker which I've never used because I am too terrified to use it. I know it's ridiculous, but I just can't bring myself to use it for fear of the old days when lids could blow off if the cook wasn't careful. I wanted an electronic pressure cooker because I felt safer (stupid but true). I have used my new fagor in pressure cooker mode to make Risotto, which requires use of the browning function. The rice/onion mixture browned nicely and the risotto turned out marvelously. I also wasn't scared when using the pressure feature. I do wish this unit was bigger (8 or 10 quarts) as I cook in quantity. I will certainly be using this item over and over again,...

Nesco PIC-14 Portable Induction Cooktop, 1500-Watt

I like it better than my Max Burton except for one thing
I've been a fan of induction burners since I purchased a Max Burton 6200 Deluxe 1800-Watt Induction Cooktop several years ago—at much greater cost than it's listed for now! Nothing beats the precise temperature control, the safety, and the efficiency of an induction burner. They are far safer and more sophisticated than hotplate-type burners for college dorms or residences for the elderly or disabled. They are also wonderful for an office kitchen or to use outdoors or on a table for Japanese hot pot cooking or fondue. Induction cooks by transferring heat to the pot itself, which then cooks your food; induction-ready cookware must be used, but you probably already have something suitable (see below).

Let me get the one thing I like better about my Max Burton out of the way first: it has a timer for auto-shutoff, which is a great boon when doing pressure canning using my...

Very Uneven Cooking & Little Temperature Control
I've owned a Max Burton 6000 induction (1800 watts) for over 2 years; it's a much better option. I mainly use a portable induction burner for cooking outside; if you are cooking something stinky like deep frying oil or it's summer & you're craving pasta but don't want to warm up the kitchen or your grilling and want to warm a sauce or side dish. We also like to use it on the deck in the summer for making pancakes. We eat breakfast outside frequently & it's really convenient to set it up on the table while cooking batches of pancakes.

So to test this Nesco (1500 watts), we took it out on the deck to make pancakes. We use a Lodge cast iron pancake skillet/griddle. This skillet is 10.5 inches outside measurement/10 inches inside cooking measurement so should be a good test. To test the evenness in cooking, we poured pancake batter to near the edge of the pan, leaving a little space for turning. This Nesco did a terrible job at cooking evenly. Even though the circle...

Works very well
I love the Nesco induction cooktop! It's compact and lightweight, so it is easy to store when not in use. When it is in use, it's a dream! It heats quickly, much quicker than I expected. A small fan runs while it's on, and it barely makes any noise. The five settings are easy to select, allowing heat variations from simmer to sear. The buttons are easy to push, but are not touch sensitive. This is important since you wouldn't want to accidentally change the settings. The appearance is sleek, and it's easy to clean.

I've missed using my cast iron skillet since I bought my glass top stove, which can be easily damaged by cast iron cookware and is not recommended. I can use the cast iron skillet on the Nesco without any problems. I suspect the surface of the Nesco will suffer a little from cast iron if I'm not careful, but it shouldn't damage it the same way as a glass top stove.

It also uses much less energy than a regular stove, so it's cheaper to use in...
